A well-established company in the Consumer Goods industry is looking for an Import Coordinator to join their team for a one year maternity leave contract! This position is a key role that can really make a difference!
Responsibilities:

- Ensure that communication is addressed on a timely basis and all follow-ups are done meticulously.
- Communicate daily with makers overseas
- Follow up on lab dips, proto samples, fabric, accessories, PP samples, PS samples, lab test results to ensure timely receipt and response
- Update the Cost Sheet Spreadsheets
- Communicate between departments to answer questions efficiently.
- Follow up on delivery dates tightly and negotiate discounts when timelines are not being met.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an import coordinator for apparel or consumer goods importer
- Must be pro-active, highly organized, hardworking and committed
- Leadership skills and team player with ability to easily liaise with factories, mills, agents, QA, design team, logistics, accounting, sales and other divisions
- Knowledge of production cycles, and lab test requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of computer systems; such as, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Must speak English and French
